Ant Wireless devices being used in medical sector

Ant Wireless' devices, which were originally designed for use by athletes, are increasingly finding a market within the medical sector.
The company released the Ant+ technology, which is a low-powered wireless device that allows people to get real time assessment of their training through the use of sensors on heart monitors and other devices, Mobile Sports Report stated.
However, after the firm was bought out by Garmin it started to reach a much wider market and has since been picked up by companies for use in their medical products.
Examples of this include the Qualcomm Life 2Net, which is used to provide connections between medical devices and with Dexcom, a company which creates glucose level monitoring systems.
Zephyr Technology has recently announced it will be lending its support to the Qualcomm Life 2Net system by using it alongside its recently developed Mobile Health Portal, which will receive data sent through its Bioharness.
