Qualcomm has offered its support for AirStrip Technologies by putting an undisclosed sum of money into the company.
The wireless medical group has offered the financial support to the San Antonio based company through its Qualcomm Life Fund.
This strategic investment has been seen as the company looking to boost the development of emerging technologies and business models that can further accelerate the progress of the wireless market.
Commenting on the investment received from the company, AirStrip chief executive officer Alan Portela said: "We recognise where the future lies for mobility in healthcare: erasing the boundaries to more effectively diagnose and treat patients throughout the continuum of care."
He added that the investment was seen as recognition of the potentially "game changing" options offered by the company.
Earlier this year, it was announced the Qualcomm Life 2Net cloud-based system would be receiving the support of Zephyr Technology, with the device working in partnership with the BioHarness system.
