Simon Cassia
Chief Operating Officer
Simon joined Plextek as Operations Director in 2009, with 30 years experience in telecommunications system and product design, development and production. In 2011 he was appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer.
After spending the first 7 years of his career with the RAF as an electronics engineering officer, he joined PA Consulting Group where he became the partner in charge of the telecommunications practice. He moved to Motorola where initially he led the European Research Laboratory, working mainly on TETRA, and then took responsibility for the development of Motorola's TETRA system, which was the first to be installed in the world. Most recently he spent 10 years in the cellular telephone industry as General Manager at NEC, CTO at flyingSPARK and Head of Development at Anite Wireless.
Simon is a Cambridge University engineering graduate, a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
