Embedded Technology Design

Example Projects
- Plextek designed and developed a portable multimedia terminal for use in training environments. The product was progressed from a high-level concept through to a type approved unit in a tight timeframe. Plextek was able to bring together specialists from different skills groups in order to handle the embedded electronics hardware, Linux BSP and mechanical casework design.
- Plextek designed a low-power embedded video processing unit that provides compressed JPEG 2000 streams over a number of different communications channels. The unit had to be compact, rugged and be capable of integration into a range of remote and airborne systems.
