Plextek has managed the design and supply of several million units for a range of clients. This has enabled our clients to concentrate on their core business without having to worry about product manufacture and logistical issues.
Our services include complete product development, factory introduction, cost reduction programmes and supply chain management. We are often able to redesign existing products to achieve greater performance or lower cost.
We have developed strong links with a range of factories in Europe and Asia and are able to match products to the most appropriate manufacturing facility. As a result Plextek offers a low risk route to manufacturing, especially for companies that do not have a wide experience of managing external factories and suppliers.
Example Projects
- Plextek has designed and supplied over 5 million vehicle tracking units to LoJack Inc., the global leader in stolen vehicle recovery systems. The ability to undertake this level of mass production is unique amongst electronics design houses. All products designed by Plextek benefit from the experience gained in achieving the quality necessary to sustain such high volume manufacturing.
- We also supply specialised products to a number of government agencies. Although the volumes for some products are less than 100 units per year the same focus on quality and guarantee of supply are still crucial.
