Plextek becomes certified design house for Analog Devices Inc

Analog Devices Inc (ADI) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Plextek, whose strong track record in the design of telemetry products and systems proved pivotal in ADI's decision. As part of this agreement Plextek becomes a certified design house for ADI, offering design, development and support services for ADI products including low data rate wireless connectivity IC's and synthesiser IC's.

ADI is well known as a world-leading semiconductor company specialising in high-performance analog, mixed-signal and DSP IC's. Plextek offers complementary services in electronics design and consultancy. ADI will refer to Plextek, customers who require assistance with wireless connectivity and telemetry solutions using ADI's ADF701X family of ISM band transmitter ICs, or the soon to be released ADF702X family of ISM band transceiver ICs. These are highly integrated parts, which will enable ADI customers to develop low cost ISM-band transceiver products.

The two companies believe that this cooperative understanding should result in benefits to both parties and also to ADI customers. Plextek is currently working on the development of a protocol stack for use with the ADF702X family of transeivers and ADI plans to offer this free of charge to customers wishing to develop products based around these devices.
