Embedded System Design
Embedded systems are at the heart of so much equipment, everything from entertainment systems, TVs, toys, printers, military jets, communications systems, surveillance systems, sensors, etc. Plextek has developed numerous embedded systems. These integrated systems frequently bring a number of technologies together to suit the requirements of an application.
Technology Integration
Most embedded systems have a small form factor, with limited power supply, requiring efficient use of space and power. We often port appropriate embedded Operating Systems onto the platform. In volume product development, production cost is considered from the outset.
Some systems have displays and touch controlled user interfaces, such as automotive infotainment, whilst others are deeply embedded an requiring an integration of other technologies such as sensors and communications. Plextek's attention to detail and expertise allows appropriate technologies to be combined in compact forms without loss of performance which can frequently occur due to proximity.
