Plextek Services Limited is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Department. This is a part-time role working Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 2.15 pm. Some previous experience in a finance department is required and inhouse training will be given.
THE ROLE
You will support the Financial Controller and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team whilst being organised and trustworthy. You will have good interpersonal skills.
As a valuable member of this small team you will be responsible for administering accounts related documentation for Plextek Services Limited and associated companies. Your tasks will include:
- Data entry of supplier invoices into the inhouse accounts systems
- Processing BACS runs, foreign payments, intercompany payments, CHAPS and faster payments as required
- Reconciling credit card statements and checking VAT
- Assisting with month end close-down, bank reconciliations, reports etc
- Processing employee expenses on a monthly basis
- Contacting suppliers as necessary and deal with queries
- Checking supplier statements
- Filing
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required
