Embedded Linux Software Engineer

THE ROLE

A number of positions are available at different levels of seniority depending on candidate experience. You will be developing board support packages, kernel device drivers and real-time software for embedded Linux targets working closely with other members of our engineering team to develop solutions that meet our clients’ requirements. Typical projects use customised hardware based on openly-available reference designs. You will be participating in client meetings and will be responsible for the full software life cycle from concept to delivery.

In-depth knowledge with proven experience in embedded Linux development is essential and experience of writing Yocto recipes is highly desirable. You should be comfortable developing software for a variety of platforms and able to generate customer-facing documentation. You must be comfortable participating in sales and project meetings with clients and able to generate technical responses to bids and tenders. You should have a good technical degree or an equivalent qualification.
