Sales and Marketing Administrator

Reporting to: Head of Marketing

We want to expand our Sales & Marketing (S&M) teams and are looking for someone to take control of the administration aspects and help to build this new role into a pivotal part of the S&M process.

THE ROLE

This is a newly formed role to support the Sales & Marketing teams with multiple operational and administrative tasks. You will need to be highly organised and able to multi-task as this role is varied and requires supporting many different activities across our business. You will be required to communicate successfully, both written and verbally, with internal colleagues as well as external clients, working closely with the marketing department and business development managers (BDMs). The main objective of this role is to create happy and smooth-running Sales and Marketing teams.

Marketing Administration:

You will be a valuable member of the Marketing team who will be responsible for event logistics; booking hotels, researching venues and arranging transport for equipment. We support approximately 12 large, UK based events per year. You will be required to attend some of these events to help with exhibition set-up and support the team during the events themselves promoting the stand. A driving licence and own transport is desirable.

A large proportion of our work comes from existing customers, you will help to keep in touch with current clients and where possible generate leads to pass to BDMs.

Responsibilities will also include contributing to marketing material, writing content for our website, publications and working with the internal design and digital experts.

As a growing company, we are actively recruiting more people and have periods of recruitment drives; during these periods you will help HR manage this process.

Additional task include: ordering materials, helping multiple members of the team with campaigns and other adhoc supporting tasks.

Sales Administration:

A key part of your role will also require you to help and support us to win more work. This will involve monitoring tender sites and portals for potential opportunities, and searching for applicable events/seminars. This information will be distributed to relevant parties and followed up.

You will be an administrator user for our Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool, you will need to maintain and keep information up to date; this may require chasing BDMs for input, reporting monthly figures and updating orders.

You will need to operate our internal document management system (training will be provided), and start up marketing folders in preparation for proposal generation.

General administration tasks will include booking hotels, meeting management, filing NDAs, taking phone calls and email monitoring.
