Plextek has the capabilities and facilities to provide comprehensive EMC and EMI solutions
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is a crucial consideration for modern electronic devices and systems. It directly relates to a device’s performance and functionality within its designated operating environment. Emissions from a device – also known as Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) – can degrade the device’s own performance or that of other equipment nearby. Equally, the device should not be susceptible to interference from other devices.
- We have the capabilities and facilities to provide comprehensive EMC and EMI solutions. Our team of experienced electronic circuit and system designers have the engineering skills to offer expert advice on design approaches, conduct EMC/EMI measurements, as well as identify suitable EMC remedies to ensure your product meets formal compliance.
Our facilities include a free-standing, wooden EMC building with an extensive copper ground plane, along with a large semi-anechoic chamber (SAC) that converts into a fully anechoic room (FAR), and a large versatile open-air measurement field, all of which allow us to conduct comprehensive EMC measurements and testing. Plextek has the equipment and expertise to characterise the spectrum from VLF to mmWave frequencies.
Stay Ahead in EMC Compliance
Plextek also offers pre-compliance testing services, aiming to lower the risk of client products and devices failing during formal EMC compliance testing, to avoid costly financial impacts and undesirable project delays.
