About the position

We are seeking a Business Development Lead who will take a key role in identifying and developing new commercial opportunities within Defence markets.

  • Follow up opportunities by developing proposals and closing sales
  • Support client management during project delivery
  • Interact effectively with other internal departments, especially the technical teams, when engaging with clients and when handing over projects for execution
  • Keep abreast of issues affecting the defence market
  • Identify potential business partners for collaboration on large bids.
  • Seek out and qualify new business leads through networking at industry events and tradeshows, working your existing contacts and cold calling

 

Profile

  • Experienced in selling to Defence markets
  • Proven success
  • Familiarity with structured sales processes
  • Account management experience
  • Engineering/science background essential for credibility and to be able to take a technical briefing
  • Able to grasp our capabilities and have and have technical and commercial competence to engage with clients
